Fun and safe

When I'm at work all day it makes me happy to think that the kids are safe at home with a mother who makes sure they have something fun and safe to do.

Sand which note

Sharon's been making me sandwiches for lunch this week and putting little notes in my bag. Its been fun.

Enjoying the boys

I wasn't around to see this today, but it looks like the boys had some fun together like usual. More than anything, I am happy that Sharon takes the time to sit back and enjoy our kids.

cinnamon rolls jealousy

a couple days ago Sharon stayed up until midnight making cinnamon rolls. Her dough wasn't rising so it took her longer than expected. She was a bit nervous about how they would turn out, but they were very good. Then today she sent me to work with a bunch of rolls to share with my internal medicine team. I think everyone was jealous of my sweet wife.

Hansel and Gretel and step moms

Sharon's reading Hansel and Gretel to the kids right now... I thought it was so cute when she was explaining that she wouldn't leave the kids in the forest, that she loves them and will always take care of them, that real mothers don't hate their children like step mother's sometimes do. Then she said, "So you have to take care of me so I don't die and you get a step mom!"

Acrobat

I like these pictures of Sharon's acrobatic skills today. She's strong!

getting ready for church

I had meetings before church today. It was fun to see Sharon come into the chapel hauling 2 bags of stuff for the kids, a baby, and 2 other handsome boys all dressed in Sunday best. She did all that by herself, still looked great, and was on time. Super mom!

Beautiful boys

Sometimes I'm struck to appreciate how beautiful my three boys are and that Sharon gave them to me. Thanks honey, you did and are doing a great job!

I love you more than before

Today Sharon told me that she feels like she loves me right now more than she ever has before. That is a sweet thing to say!

Studying

I've been kind of busy recently studying, being on my anesthesia rotation, and preparing for my subinternship, and Sharon hasn't ever complained about it. Thanks for your support!

resilience

Sharon has been feeling sick again the past few days. I know it's so hard being a sick mommy and I'm so grateful for her effort and all she does.

sweet blood

Sharon went outside today for 5 minutes while she was selling a stroller to somebody from craigslist. She got bit three times. She is so sweet it fills her blood.

Two little kods

We may not always agree...

Sharon and I may not always agree on everything, but I can count on her to make sure we both understand each other and see where we are both coming from. That's an important skill. And here's a cute photo she took the other day (minus the snot... haha).

Little miracles

Today Sharon shared something with me that really touched her heart. It's private so I won't say anything more, but it was an experience that strengthened my belief that God watches out for us and listens to our prayers. I'm glad Sharon has a spiritual side and seeks out those kinds of experiences.

Peas

Today we picked our peas. I guessed there would be about 50. Sharon guessed 100. There was about 120. She won! She also picked tons of peas that I missed. They really blend in. She's got the farming instinct

Ab rocket

Sharon picked this up on the side of the street and sold it for $5. What an entrepreneur!

Running

Sharon went to the gym and ran for 30 minutes even though she is still feeling crappy. I am impressed.

Magnum ice cream

Sharon has always wanted to try these magnum ice cream bars. Got her some for mother's day and today she told me I could have one. If you know how good these are you know what a generous heart she has for me!

Boogie boarding 3

Today we went to the beach again -- third time in three weeks! Sharon was an animal and went boogie boarding 3 times. When we got home she vacuumed the house and just cleaned the bathrooms. And all that was while she says she's been feeling sick...!

watched a sort of scary movie today... Sharon made me walk her to the bathroom after. I'm sure she was sort of scared, but I know she was partly just being sweet.

Feeling sick

Sharon's feeling sick today. That doesn't happen very often. I like your immune system, baby!

Another Chinese worksheet

Sharon made another really good Chinese worksheet today! She's made a lot of them and I'm proud of all her effort to teach Enoch Chinese.

Raising confident boys

Sharon checked this book out from the library today. I admire her willingness to seek out advice on how to be a good parent. She doesn't just assume we are doing it right, which is a nice, humble attitude.

You are better than a computer program

One reason I love Sharon is that she is even more beautiful than the computer generated image that was produced with a picture of her mom and dad.

wonderful memories

Just watched about 15 old videos from when the kids were younger with Sharon. I had already forgotten completely about a lot of those experiences. I'm so glad we have pictures and especially videos to remember all the wonderful times we have together. Sharon's given me wonderful children and wonderful memories, that's for sure.

Craigslister

Sharon listed around 12 things on craigslist today! When she does something, she's goes all out. She would prefer this to a garage sale because Houston's market means craigslist brings in much higher prices.

Throwing sand

I took a funny / embarrassing video of Sharon today and then she started throwing sand at me. She looks hot! And she's got hops
